Coaching for professionals who want to feel calm, confident and heard
On the outside, you look capable and in control. Inside, it can feel very different.
I work with professionals who want to stop freezing in difficult conversations, second-guessing themselves and feeling like they’re failing at both work and home. Together we build calm, grounded confidence so you can speak up, set boundaries and show up as yourself in the moments that matter.
If you avoid difficult conversations, say yes when you want to say no or lie awake replaying what you should have said, you’re not alone.
With coaching, you can begin to:
Stay steadier in high-pressure conversations with your boss, colleagues or partner
Speak up in meetings and presentations without your mind going blank
Stop splitting into “work you” and “home you”
Trust your own voice instead of always keeping the peace
I’m Gemma, an ICF-accredited coach and former drama teacher, blending deep coaching with practical tools for voice, presence and calm.
Is this you?
From the outside, it looks like you’re doing well. You’re good at your job, people lean on you and you get things done. But privately you might notice a different story.
You freeze when you’re put on the spot in meetings or when someone senior asks you a question. You dread difficult conversations with your boss, partner or colleagues and often end up avoiding them altogether. You say yes when you want to say no because you don’t want to disappoint anyone or cause conflict.
You might feel constantly torn between work deadlines, children or family life, the house, the calendar and the never-ending list of things to remember. Quiet anxiety, self-doubt or imposter syndrome sit just under the surface, even though other people think you’re “sorted”.
You’re not failing. You’re carrying a lot.
What you’d like instead
Most of the people I work with don’t want to become loud or showy. They want to feel calmer and steadier inside, to be able to speak up when it matters and to include their own needs in the picture without feeling guilty.
You might want to:
Feel less anxious before meetings, presentations or difficult conversations
Stop replaying every interaction in your head and wondering what you did wrong
Bring one whole “you” into work and home, instead of constantly switching masks
Feel more fulfilled, not just like you’re coping and getting through the week
I believe everyone’s voice deserves to be heard – in the boardroom and in the dining room. You shouldn’t have to put everyone else first to be a good colleague, partner or parent.
How it works
Working together is simple:
1. Book a free connection call
We have a relaxed 20–30 minute conversation about what’s going on for you and what you’d like to be different.
2. Choose the support that fits
If it feels like a good match, we agree a coaching format and rhythm that works with your life and energy.
3. Start building calm, grounded confidence
Session by session, we work on the conversations, beliefs and moments that matter most to you, so change shows up in real life.
How coaching with me helps
Confidence isn’t a personality type.
It’s a skill you can learn.
In our work together, we slow down enough to really see what’s happening beneath the surface. Using Co-Active coaching, we explore the beliefs, patterns and expectations that feed your anxiety, self-doubt or people-pleasing. We look at where those patterns might have helped you in the past and where they’re getting in the way now.
Alongside this inner work, I bring in simple drama-informed tools – grounding, breath, posture and voice – so your body feels safer and steadier when pressure rises. You’ll have something practical to lean on when you walk into a meeting, pick up the phone or sit down for a hard conversation at home.
You leave sessions with more than insight. You’ll have small, realistic practices to try between sessions, so change shows up in real life: in meetings, presentations, school-run conversations, family dinners and quiet moments with yourself.
Ways we can work together
Working together is simple:
One-to-one coaching (online or in-person)
One-to-one coaching gives you a calm, confidential space where you don’t have to hold it all together. You can arrive exactly as you are – unsure, overwhelmed, frustrated, hopeful – and we start from there.
In our sessions we talk about what’s most present for you: the conversations you’re avoiding, the situations that make you shrink, the stories that loop in your head. We explore what you want to be different and what feels possible right now.
Together we notice the moments when you tend to go quiet, freeze or over-explain, explore the beliefs underneath, and practise new ways of speaking, setting boundaries or asking for what you need. We also use grounding and breath work so your body can support you, not fight you.
Sessions are held online, so you can join from home, work or anywhere you feel comfortable.
Walk and Talk audio coaching on the go
Some conversations feel easier in movement and fresh air.
With Walk and Talk coaching, you walk in your own outdoor space and I walk in mine. We talk by phone, without video or screens. Many people find this gentler and more freeing than sitting in front of a laptop.
This format can be helpful if you feel anxious or self-conscious on video calls, think more clearly while moving, or rarely get time outside just for yourself and want coaching to feel like spacious time rather than another meeting in your diary.
You’ll still get the same depth of coaching, just in a different setting – one that often makes it easier to breathe, feel and think out loud.
What to expect from a session
Sessions usually last around 15 - 60 minutes.
We start by checking in with how you are and what feels most important to talk about that day. Sometimes that will be an immediate situation – a conversation you’re dreading, a decision you’re wrestling with, a moment where you froze. Other times it will be a deeper theme, like never feeling “enough” or struggling to say what you really think.
We move at your pace. I’ll ask questions, offer reflections and, where helpful, introduce simple body or voice practices. Towards the end, we gather what you’re taking from the session and agree any small steps or experiments you’d like to try before we next meet.
There is no pressure to be “fixed”, impressive or certain. This is space for you to be honest, messy and human.
A bit about me
I’m Gemma, an ICF-accredited coach and former drama teacher.
I know what it’s like to juggle work, family life and your own sense of self. Moving from the classroom to life as a parent and then into coaching showed me how easy it is to lose touch with who you are beneath all the roles you play.
My own journey with anxiety is part of why I do this work. It led me to train as a Co-Active coach and to blend that with drama techniques such as grounding, breath, posture and voice work. I bring empathy, curiosity and calm to every session. You don’t have to perform or pretend here; you get to arrive exactly as you are.
I am a Certified Co-Active Coach and have accreditation through The International Coaching Federation.
Ready to connect?
You don’t have to figure this out on your own.
You can book a free connection call to see how coaching might support you. It’s a relaxed conversation where you can share a little about what’s going on, ask questions and get a feel for whether we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure to commit.
