Confidence and communication for the moments that matter
When the stakes are high – pitches, workshops, senior meetings – even your most capable people can shrink. I help your teams build calm, grounded confidence so they can lead the room, not just get through it.
If you’re seeing strong content but shaky delivery, quiet voices in important conversations or nerves that spike in front of clients and senior leaders, you’re not alone.
With support, your people can:
Stay steady in high-pressure client, sales and stakeholder conversations
Speak up clearly in meetings and presentations, instead of going blank
Lead workshops and internal sessions with more ease, presence and impact
I’m Gemma, an ICF-accredited coach and former drama teacher, blending deep coaching with practical tools for voice, presence and calm.
The challenge you’re seeing
On paper, your people are experienced and well qualified. In reality, you might notice pitches that feel flatter than the proposal deserves, sales calls where the energy drops as soon as questions get tricky, or internal workshops that never quite land because the facilitator is visibly nervous.
Some team members barely speak in senior meetings, even when they have valuable insight. Others over-prepare, hide behind slides and come away replaying everything they “should” have said differently. Managers can delay difficult conversations or soften the message so much it becomes unclear.
From the outside, everything looks professional. Inside, many of your people are managing anxiety, people-pleasing and a strong fear of getting it wrong in front of clients, leaders or peers. Over time, that hesitation costs you opportunities, impact and influence.
Where confidence really matters
The support I offer focuses on the real moments that matter in your organisation. That might be new business pitches, sales calls, workshops and training sessions, project kick-offs, town halls, performance conversations or regular meetings with senior stakeholders.
When people feel steadier in those situations, they contribute more fully. Ideas are shared more clearly. Conversations become more honest and useful. Clients and internal stakeholders experience your organisation as confident and grounded, rather than rushed or slightly apologetic.
This isn’t about turning everyone into performers. It’s about helping them bring their best thinking into the room and feel able to stand behind it.
What I offer organisations
I support organisations in two connected ways: workshops for teams and one-to-one coaching for individuals who carry a lot of visibility or responsibility.
Confidence and communication workshops
Workshops give your people space to understand what knocks their confidence and what helps them feel steady. We focus on the situations that matter most to you – pitches, workshops, sales calls, senior meetings or difficult conversations at work – and introduce simple tools they can use straight away.
Sessions are practical and calm. There’s no pressure to perform; instead, people are invited to experiment gently and leave with a few things they feel willing to try in real life.
One-to-one coaching for key individuals and teams
One-to-one coaching supports the people who carry extra visibility or responsibility – pitch leads, salespeople, managers, internal trainers or experts presenting to senior leaders.
We use their real scenarios as the starting point, whether that’s an upcoming pitch, a workshop or a challenging client meeting. Together we explore what feels hard, look at the patterns underneath and bring in drama-informed tools like grounding, breath, posture and voice, so they can walk into the room feeling clearer and more anchored.
Talks at company and organisation updates and events
I also speak at company updates, away days or internal events on themes such as confidence, difficult conversations and being heard at work. These talks are honest, practical and down-to-earth, offering simple ideas and tools your people can start using straight away.
They work well as a way to open up conversation about confidence across the organisation, or to complement a wider wellbeing or people strategy.
How I work
My approach blends three elements.
First, inner confidence. We explore what drives anxiety, overthinking or silence in high-pressure moments, and help people find more helpful ways of relating to those patterns. This is grounded in Co-Active coaching, which treats people as capable, not broken.
Second, body and voice. My background as a drama teacher means I understand how posture, breath and voice affect how we feel and how we’re heard. I bring in simple, accessible exercises to help people feel more anchored in their bodies, so they can think and speak more clearly under pressure.
Third, real-world application. Everything we do is connected back to live situations: client meetings, sales calls, workshops, performance conversations, senior presentations. The focus is always on what will make a difference in the next real interaction, not just what sounds good in a training room.
Why work with me?
I’m Gemma, an ICF-accredited coach and former drama teacher.
I’ve spent years teaching people how to use their voice, manage stage fright and build presence. I now work with professionals who look confident on paper but don’t always feel it in the room, particularly when they’re pitching, presenting or facilitating.
My work brings together deep coaching, drama-informed tools and a lot of empathy. I create spaces where people can admit what feels hard without being judged, try out different ways of showing up and leave with practical tools they can use straight away.
Next steps
If you’d like to explore how confidence and communication support could help your organisation, the next step is simple.
You can send an enquiry or email with a few lines about your context – who you have in mind, the kinds of situations they’re facing, and what you’d like to be different. We’ll then arrange a short call to talk it through and see what kind of workshop or coaching mix would be most useful.
From there, I’ll put together a clear, simple proposal and we can refine it together.
